hi saban,
setting half-open to more than 100 is a very bad thing, some routers can crash as some have 256 as the max count. dmef |

There is no relationship between your choice of bit torrent client software and the download speed you get from the torrent swarms that you join. One bit torrent client can not download data any faster than another one. Your choice of bit torrent client must therefore be made on the basis of the feature set that a particular client has.
If someone tells you that bit torrent client A is faster (or slower) than client B, then they are either delusional, or they are lying to you. |

Very well put velvetfog,
This is true becuase the torrent download speed itslef generally comes form the seed/leech ratio and not really from the torrent software itself. I am sure that different torrent applications probably increase speeds a bit, but if they do, it is probably only going to be about 2-3 Kb/s of a difference in download speeds. It all depends on the swarms, and how they are seeding, and how they are divided. |

i agree with r-man and velvetfog that makes sense to me guys
![]() is it better to use torrents with bigger seed numbers than leech numbers or is it better if they are even? |

A lot of seeders makes for a very good and redundant availability of the data. That is good, and should ensure a quick download. A lot of leechers means that many people are interested in downloading the data, but have not yet completed their download. So it could be a good sign (indicating a very popular torrent) or a bad sign (indicating inability to quickly complete the download). Every torrent swarm will be different, so there is no precise answer to your question.
