Ok, I have made this thread as the official new "We need mods thread". I have casually made a requirements sheet for all applicants, please review the requirements below, and if you cannot meet them then please do not be afraid to apply, as depending on the areas you dont qualify, we may be able to enlist you to help us.
Make sure that you meet these minimum requirements before PM'ing any Team member, or posting in this thread. If anyone posts in this thread a post like..."I wanna mod!" or "I can help." will be deleted as they are not descriptive enough to consider a qualification. Moderator Requirements: In order to assist these forums, you must: Have 3-6 months experience in moderation of vBulletin (We will allow MyBB experience as an exception, since it is in fact similar to vB in a lot of aspects of internal operations via ModCP and inline ModCP.) Have at least a few months in common Bit-Torrent knowledge and Bt-Torrent sites, etc. If it is around your 1st or 2nd week in the world of Bit-Torrent, you will be rejected sorry to say. Must be able to use proper grammer, proper english, and have good communication skills. Be able to handle yourself and keep in good control in case of a heated debate(s) by other members, towards other members or yourself. Be able to dedicate at least 1 hour a day to assist the forums, the more time you can lend the better...but 1 hour a day will be required as a minimum ammount of time. Have at least two references that are willing to vouch for you in the matters of how well you handle yourself, and how long you have been moderating or admining at another vBulletin/MyBB powered community. Have been a member of the Torrent-Finder forums, for at least 3 months, or have a relivant post count over 150 posts, this shows dedication to the site...(This can be waived if you over qualify with the requirements above.) Please, if you do not meet these requirements, it will be of no use to apply as a moderator. As these are very important to us, and will most likely (some of them) be day-to-day tasks presented at htese forums. |

Please accept my PM, as I will try to figure out how many hours/minutes a day you will be able to be online here. And I will try to see what your experience level in Bit-torrent is, and how well you handle certain exceptions from members, etc. I have not been active here in a long time, sadly...I will be from now on now that everything is fixed, and will start doing an application process for our great friendly admin to see who will qualify and how well they do qualify. |

great post KANADIAN ,there are lots of users in here that english is not their first language,,but they would do their upmost to help tf,,R-man is proof of that ,,i myself would have applied but vbulletin i have no experience on modding it..loads of experience on ipb, smf, tbdev, torrent strike, and ts special edition.but i run my own torrent site so i wouldn have the time anyway,,you should have a serious think on applying yourself as i agree a few mods would benifit the site

Okay, since these posts are not officially Off Topic, I will not delete them, because the grammer issue is a big thing here. As whitestag13 said though, if you can be a benefit to the site, then your grammer is not the biggest issue, as long as you can get the point across ina somewhat clear manner.
I will discuss (in a PM) with you piyush about our mod position, but I do ask...If you can help it to please work on your grammer a little bit before fully applying, if you have great vB experience and knowledge in our inline, and MCP, then you are definetly qualified, at least in those areas, although there is more to it than that. Future reference though to everyone, please do not post in this thread unless you are considering to apply as a mod, or throw your name in the hat, because this thread is to discuss mod positions, not to coach on how people present themselves when applying. Cheers all! /TFF Team Member |

If you have trouble finding enough moderators to cover 24x7, I am available.
I do have past experience with vBulletin. I am on Mountain Time (GMT-7). |

Well, Mr VF...I know you very well, I know your experience in torrenting is a great ammount, and I know you have the trust needed to properly help moderate a forum without having to worry about mistakes being made. I am going to PM Torrent-Finder a recomendation to allow a mod promo, I appreciate the fact that you would help the site, as well as doing all you do on TPB.And with the responsibilities that moderating the biggest torrent site in the world brings, you only need be here about an hour a day, and our biggest concern will be the invite section.
Thank you for your interest in wanting to help TFF /TFF Team Member |
