Is there such a filter? How do you use it?

Ohhhh! Thanks for telling me about it! I didn't know that it also did that. Luckily I already checked that box before!

Question Re: uTorrent - Some advice Please

I just started in the Torrent world a few months ago.

After a little research I found Utorrent was highly spoken of and is the only torrent I have
used. I believe that I started with version 1.7.6 and later upgraded to 1.7.7.

I now find that one of the private sites I just joined does not allow 1.7.7. Only versions
up to uTorrent 1.6.1 Build 490.

For those of you with more of a history using uTorrent, what might be
objectionable about version 1.7.7? I don't use the auto update feature which they recommend disabling.

Should I downgrade to the earlier version?
I just got everything working correctly. I'm afraid this would mess things up things up?

p.s. I just ran across this:

"It has been determined that utorrent 1.7 and upwards has a bug that reports your stats incorrectly.

It has also been determined that it reports private info outside of the tracker.

we advise anyone using these versions to downgrade back to utorrent 1.6.1. you can download it by clicking {omitted} Anybody using 1.7 or above does so at their own risk and we will not be given any user support."

Is this true?

Thanks for the link dmef! A lot of ego were flying there.

I'm still not sure what to think.

It looks like I'm getting in very late in the debate. An old wound that has never healed.

I'll probably stick with 1.7.7 for now.
