great mid life crises joke

a man was driving on the highway with his hood down and he desides... fuck it im going to go fast so he hits the gas and gets to 100mph when he sees a cop turn the lights on so the guy hits the gas harder
but then realizes he shouldnt run and pulls over ,,when the cop gets to his door the cop says this is the end of my shift and its been a long day for both of us, i dont want to do the paper work so i tell you what if you give me a excuse why you ran that i havent heard i will let you go

so the guy thinks for a sec and says " well my wife ran off with a cop the other day and i thought you where trying to give her back"
the cop threw him his wallet and he was free to go.
