Post Fake Torrents

I don't know if this is the proper place to put this or not but here goes anyway.
this torrent link does not work.
The DogWhispererSeason3-NewWorld[www.torrentsrmine.org]
I have downloaded the torrent numerous times and it keeps coming up under tracker: invalid passkey.
I have even just opened it instead of saving it and it always comes up with the same message. I googled the problem and all the info says is :
"Invalid or missing passkey" error?

Some torrent sites have started individually keying torrents to individual members. There is nothing you can do about it, apart from registering with the tracker's site and getting your own torrent from them.

The person who has posted this has now probably been banned/deleted from the tracker's site by now as the Passkey thing is to keep the tracker private, the usual proviso is that the member does not post the torrent on a public tracker like Youceff Torrents.
Tracker Response Error:Requested download is not authorized for use with this tracker.
Many trackers require the torrents to be authorized for use with the tracker. The torrent you're trying to use hasn't been submitted properly by the uploader, so the tracker is rejecting it. You'll have to find the files you're after elsewhere.
well all the torrents with this name are all the same.

Just letting you know.
thanks, Lynn

I've gotten some feedback from some of you cats about the whole "Fake Torrent" thing. First, I'm glad I'm not the only one royally pissed off by these wastes of DNA who actually take the time to upload shit. I know this is repeating myself, but I keep asking...what's the point? If it served a purpose of some kind that was actually worth something other than name recognition of being an asshole, there MIGHT be some twisted benefit. Just like a hacker gains bragging rights after a successful hack...no...wait, it's not the same is it? The hacker actually DID something with his time.

I keep coming back to the same thought process when I try to think of a way around these morons. I said it before & I'll say it again...an exclusive membership! Whatever it takes, ie: password protected, encryption, paid membership (donation )....WHATEVER!!!

As in times of war, the primary objective is to eliminate the threat. In this case, the threat are potentially dangerous torrents. How do you eliminate the threat? You eliminate the source, you eliminate the threat. Removing the "enemy" from the equation is what should gain a great deal of our focus. We all know that nothing on the net is totally secure, but there are ways to either reduce or eliminate the threats all together. The same way you can block people from viewing your FaceBook account for example might be an idea to entertain for the mods here. It should be designed as a simple process and also allow users to "recommend" another user be blocked based on solid evidence of course. I say that because of the nature of viruses and spyware. It is technically possible to be infected and not know it. Therefore, a person may very well upload a torrent embedded with a virus completely innocently. Discretion should be left up to the mods.

Anyway, those are my thoughts are the moment. I'm sure I'll be posting a supplement soon.

Catch 'ya on the flip side!

hi talk,
using harsh words against fake unloaders are ok but please don't use that soft of language outside this thread. This is just a friendly advice.

Hey dmef,

Have you read some of the comments left on the fake torrents??? I can and usually do refrain from vulgarity as it is often associated with small minds and little maturity. I would like to think that the majority of members here are mature enough to be able to handle an emotionally charged post that contains a few "harsh" words. Admonishing me for 1 post you deem offensive in a public forum, even when worded politely like you did, embarrasses me in front of all who may read this. Do NOT use your position as a moderator to enforce censorship as we in the free world have fought and died for rights such as freedom of speech and the right to express one's self.

There is a distinct difference between using a few unpleasant words when expressing one's self in anger and using unpleasant words as abuse upon another individual. You very well could have sent me a private message conveying the same "friendly advice" as opposed to out in the open like this. Worded politely or not, I am offended by what you have done. I am not a child who needs to be told not to use bad language. Besides, you've seen all of my other posts and NONE of them contain anything offensive.

I am very disappointed in your choice of action. If this is an indication as to how these forums are really moderated, I will have to re-evaluate my choice to participate in them.

From the ACLU:

"Congress Must Act to Keep the Internet Free from Censorship (3/11/2008)
Washington, DC – Testifying today before the House Judiciary Committee hearing on net neutrality, the director of the ACLU’s Washington Legislative Office, Caroline Fredrickson, urged Congress to act to safeguard free speech on the Internet. “Congress should act to protect the rights of all Internet users to send and receive lawful content free of censorship from government or business,” Fredrickson said. “Restoring meaningful rules that protect Internet users from corporate censorship is vital to the future of free speech on the Internet.”

hi talk,
I have not enforced my view or anything here, i said it is ok to use such language against facker's and don't use it outside this thread, if you cannot differentiate between admonishing and friendly advice then you are free to re-evaluate your choice to participate here. The way you are trying to make a mountain out of mole hole is funny.

And if i had used my moderator status then i will state it so like i always do, so stop making up things. And there is no need to send private message in this and i will never for this kind of things.
